One tap is one move. The thinking is on you
The board is built of gems and never collapses: nothing falls and nothing disappears. The whole game is in the colour you pick.
Pick a colour
Tap a gem in the panel — that is your move. You cannot take your own colour or your rival’s.

Your territory grows
All your cells repaint and join every neighbouring cell of that colour. The capture rolls out as a wave.
Take more than half
In a duel, the first to capture over half the board wins. In a puzzle, meet the goal within the move limit.
Try it right here
A simplified game against a greedy goblin: square cells instead of faceted diamonds, but the capture rule is the same. You start in the bottom-left corner.
A furious mother, not a cutie
Ember returns from the hunt. The nest is wrecked, but there is no shell: the eggs were carried off whole. Goblin tracks in the dirt.
The Goblin King stole ten eggs and handed them to his vassals — one to each of ten lands — to raise the hatchlings into obedient war beasts.
Ember crosses the lands one by one. Each egg is won back by beating the land’s master in a final duel. The last one waits in the King’s Citadel.
Every land has its own rule and its own boss
New lands do more than change the backdrop: each adds a rule, and its master has a signature trick nobody else can use.

Six special cells
They arrive one at a time, land after land, and each one upends your usual maths.

Stone
A wall you cannot capture. Builds mazes and narrow passes.

Shell
Ice hides the colour: touch the cell with your territory, the layer cracks and it can be captured.

Rainbow cell
Joins instantly when touched by any colour.

Portal
A linked pair: touch one end, get both, and the capture carries on from the far side.

Lava
Grows on its own. A touch quenches it into obsidian; surrounded lava suffocates.

Gem
A puzzle goal: reach it with your territory and it shatters into crystals.
Ember’s four boosts

Breath
Captures a cell on your border and its neighbours — up to five cells.

Claw
Takes one cell away from your territory: a foothold behind the lines.

Fear
Your rival skips the next move.

Wing
Shuffles the colours of free cells.
A boost is used instead of a move — so it is a decision too, not a win button.

No energy, no paywalls
No lives, no energy
Play as long as you like and retry a level right away.
Ads only when you choose
A video plays only when you pick it: for crystals, a boost or +5 moves. No level is locked behind ads.
Offline campaign
All 250 levels work without a connection — on the tube, on a plane, anywhere.
Purchases do not decide a duel
The shop sells boosts and skins. Online and hot-seat games have no boosts at all.
Colour is not the only cue
Every gem has its own cut, so the board reads well with colour blindness too.
Six languages
English, Russian, German, Spanish, French and Italian.
The short version
What kind of game is it?
Dragons & Gems is a turn-based puzzle in the Filler genre. You pick a colour, your territory repaints and joins the neighbouring cells of that colour. In a duel the goal is to capture more than half the board before your rival does.
Which devices will it run on?
iPhone and Android phones. The game is played in landscape.
Is it free?
Yes. There are optional rewarded videos and crystal purchases. There is no energy, no lives and no paid levels.
Do I need an internet connection?
Not for the campaign — it works offline. You need a connection for online duels and the weekly leaderboard.
Can two people play?
Yes, in two ways: on one phone in the 1v1 mode, or online by inviting a friend with a room code.
How is it different from match-3?
The board never collapses or refills, so there is no luck after the start. It all comes down to the colour you pick: every move can be read ahead, and your rival answers on the same board.
The nest is empty. Time to fly
The game is on its way to the App Store and Google Play.
